A 10-point Likert scale offers more variance than a smaller Likert scale, offers greater measurement accuracy and a better way to detect changes and more power to explain a point of view. The five categories of responses are often considered an interval measure. However, this can only be the case if the intervals between the scale points correspond to empirical observations in the metric sense. Reips and sparks (2008)  show that this criterion is much better met by a visual analog scale. Indeed, there may also be phenomena that call into question even the ordinal scale in the Likert scales.  For example, in a series of elements A, B, C, evaluated by a Likert scale, circular relationships such as A > B, B > C and C may appear > A. This is contrary to the axiom of the transitivity of the ordinal scale. Overall, a Likert article is merely a statement that the respondent must assess by giving it a quantitative value for each type of objective dimension, a degree of agreement and/or disagreement being the most commonly used dimension. Whether certain elements of Likert can be considered interval data or whether they should be treated as orderly categorization data is the subject of significant discrepancies in the literature , with strong beliefs about the most applicable methods. This disagreement can be attributed, in many ways, to the fact that Likert`s elements are interpreted as ordination data. Like star rating, interviewees can evaluate a statement on a visual cardiac scale with cardiac evaluation. A weighting is assigned to each heart symbol on the scale. Likert`s 7-point scales are an upgrade to the 5-point scale.
A 7-point Likert scale goes from one extreme to the other, as “extremely likely” to “not at all likely.” This measurement satisfaction scale offers 5 response options, as satisfied and dissatisfied with a neutral option in the middle. These options are linked to other options that would offer respondents the desired variations. In addition to measuring match data, Likert scales can also measure other variations such as frequency, quality, meaning and probability, etc. Be careful with adjectives. If you use words to ask for concepts in your survey, you need to be sure that people understand exactly what you mean.
